      104 Academy Hill Rd. requires a second Local Upgrade Approval

      MOTION, moved by Regina McNeely, seconded by Hanna Sherman: to approve another LUA for 104 Academy Hill Rd for distance to the road of the soil absorption system.

      Pass: Aye: Hanna Sherman, Regina McNeely, Daniel Sheff, Hazel Goleman, Kathy Llamas.

      MDPH News and Announcements

      Oct 24 - additional case of WNV from Middlesex County -
      Unusually late in the season - a reminder that this can happen
      Much less likely once there is a hard frost.
      At the end of OCT areas that have been high risk will be reduced to moderate risk
      until the hard frost
      Conway - WNV risk is “Low” and EEE is “Remote.”

      Viral illnesses
      Covid, flu and RSV are rated very low across the state
      Covid surge that peaked in mid-Sept has reduced to the low levels seen between surges
      Pooled national data:
      Covid low and falling, Flu low and stable, RSV low and rising, Noro moderate
      Norovirus - still no federal data since the end of July 2025

      Tick-borne illnesses
      No new data since our last meeting

      Measles and Ebola are the only federal disease pages still being updated on their regular basis.
      Measles - steady rate of ~20/week since early Aug

      Possible events - game night in an effort to combat isolation and a well water safety information meeting for residents.

      Kat has reached out to the EMD director regarding a joint meeting. She will reach out again with two proposed dates in January 2026.
      Can we give additional opioid settlement funds towards the programs we currently support?
