      COVID-19: Late summer surge is increasing. Prediction is that the surge will surpass last year’s peak winter surge.

      Arboviruses: EEE risk is remote in Conway, low in surrounding towns. Still only EEE-positive mosquito was in Belchertown on July 21. No animal or human cases to date. WNV risk in Conway is low. Have been WNV-positive mosquitoes detected in Franklin county (Deerfield, Shelburne, Rowe, Leyden, Northfield), in Hampshire county (Northampton), in Berkshire county (Pittsfield, Otis, Hinsdale, Great Barrington, Tyringham, Clarksburg, Richmond, Sheffield), in Hampden county (Holyoke, Chicopee, East Longmeadow, West Springfield). One animal case to date.

      Discussion re making South Part Cemetery a hybrid cemetery - traditional burials, green burials, and cremains. Randy and Gina to do a soil evaluation to determine the water table. Distance to neighboring wells to be confirmed.
