    • - Discussion with the Board of Health about use of opioid funds.

      General Discussion...
Phoebe Walker did a lot of research into the equations for distributing money for opioid funded programs. Some towns received almost nothing and others received huge amounts, depending upon how many employees in each town budget fall into certain categories. Conway was fortunate to receive $134,286 over 18 years because of this formula. For the fiscal years FY25 and FY26 the following was proposed by the Board of Health and FRCOG. Fifteen towns will pool money to ensure the maximum amount of help and resources for people in need. Target projects for people entering recovery or those in a program. A single mom that is pregnant will receive support until birth and peer counseling. The Town of Conway will be invoiced for these programs up to $4,300 a year. This will still leave Conway with funds to assist other programs just related to Conway. The Selectboard endorsed the program and will take a formal vote at the next meeting.
