      General Discussion...
      Tom Luce brought up a concern about the solar array that may go in at the Boyden farm. He is concerned that his property value will decrease by 30% because of his view of the panels. Run-off may be a problem because his well is right there. He would also like information regarding the type of batteries that will be used.

      The board shares Mr. Luce's concerns and will be looking into the project as it progresses. It is difficult for towns to halt these private property projects.

    • - Discussion and possible vote with the Sustainability Committee about Conway Solar Planning with UMass CEE.

      General Discussion...
      The committee has talked to Ashfield about their solar project and would like to explore options for Conway. Ashfield will be installing solar on the highway garage and Conway will need to investigate areas in town. CEE will come in and do an assessment of Conway's options beginning with a survey for the citizens. Conway's garage and parking lot at the school are top areas.

      MOTION, moved by Erica Goleman, seconded by Elaine Campbell: For the Sustainability Committee to move forward with investigating solar options for the town.

    • - Discuss and vote on two Town Clerk requests concerning in-person voting and vacancies on the ballot.

      MOTION, moved by Erica Goleman, seconded by Elaine Campbell: To have early voting on June 8, 9 and 10 during normal business hours.

      Pass: Aye: Erica Goleman, Elaine Campbell, Christopher Waldo.

      MOTION, moved by Christopher Waldo, seconded by Erica Goleman: To place the Planning Board vacancy on ballot for the remainder of its term expiring June 2027.

      Pass: Aye: Erica Goleman, Elaine Campbell, Christopher Waldo.

    • - Discussion with Robin Yerkes about a potential grant.

      MOTION, moved by Erica Goleman, seconded by Elaine Campbell: To have COA and Age Friendly pursue the Village to Village Network grant.

      Pass: Aye: Erica Goleman, Elaine Campbell, Christopher Waldo.

    • 6:10: - Budget review: 292 Animal Control, 294 Tree Warden, 541 Council on Aging, 610 Field Memorial Library, 630 Parks & Recreation, 635 Forest & Trails, 691 Historical Commission.

      General Discussion...
      292 has a slight reduction. 635, 691 and 630 will be level funded. 541 will be increased to accommodate the nurses and expanding the foot clinic. A more detailed breakdown will be provided at the next meeting. 610 has a small increase to keep accreditation.
